The first production 2015 Ford Mustang has been sold but no dealership can claim the credit. Nope, the Pony car went to an unnamed bidder who shelled out a cool $300k at this weekend’s Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona last Friday (click here see the video). While the vehicle on the block was a 2015 Mustang prototype Ford says the winning bidder will be allowed to choose from among any of the color combinations and transmissions available on the ’15 model. In keeping with the Barrett-Jackson mission to give back to the community through charitable donations all proceeds from the sale of the new Mustang will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
